Chocolate Smoothie
Yield: 3 servings
Drink on an empty stomach to digest properly. First thing in the morning or mid-afternoon are great times. Combining with other foods may cause gas, bloating, and indigestion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 head romaine
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 1/2 bunch romaine
- 2 bananas
- 1 apple
- 1 pear
- 1-2 Tbsp raw cacao powder or nibs
- 1 tsp spirulina or other green powder
Instructions
- Add the water.
- Fill your blender half way with fruit and the rest of the way with greens. Depending on the power of your blender, you may need to add slowly while blending.
- Blend for 1-2 minutes, or until very smooth.
- Drink immediately or store in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
