Healthy Hot Chocolate
Who loves hot chocolate? I'm currently doing a cleanse so I've given up coffee (yes, even decaf coffee) and I crave a warm soothing drink that isn't tea. I figured out a recipe that is cleanse-friendly and quite yummy! My base recipe is below but lately, I’ve been adding mushroom powder for extra antioxidants. Yum!
Healthy Hot Chocolate

A cleanse-friendly hot chocolate that is a lot healthier than typical hot chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp raw cacao
- 1 tbsp collagen powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp maple syrup (more or less as desired)
- dash sea salt
- 1 cup dairy-free milk, heated (I use homemade oat milk)
Instructions
- Combine cacao, collagen, turmeric, maple syrup, and salt in a mug.
- Pour approximately 1 tbsp heated milk into mug and stir with ingredient until all lumps are removed and mixture is a smooth paste.
- Pour in the remaining milk. Stir and enjoy!
